Hi! My name is Alexis Kiminas, the creator of AKiminas Visuals and a young, inspiring designer who lives in Northern Idaho. During my early childhood, I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a neurological disorder that causes me to see and interact with the world differently. Growing up with ASD and learning how to navigate life with the disorder has shaped who I am as a person and how to use it to my advantage, and for how I go about things, like my visions for my designs. My love for design originates from my passion for art. Some of my earliest childhood memories include me doing art projects using famous artists' techniques in grade school, performing on a competition stage to upbeat music with choreography that was just as exciting in front of crowds, and making short animations on my then phone with cheap animation apps. Today, I have utilized everything I've learned from childhood and into my early adulthood as I begin to learn and evolve as a designer. At North Idaho Community College, I have learned, and continue to learn about, Procreate, Adobe programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop, and how to code websites.
